- Each Junior Beta member is expected to be an academic leader in this school. Students must be on the honor roll. If, at the end of the semester, the student is no longer on the honor roll, he or she will be placed on probation and then removed if the average does not improve by the next grading period.
- Each Junior Beta member is expected to demonstrate exemplary character. If a member is placed in ISS or OSS or is reported by a faculty member to be consistently of poor behavior in the classroom, bus, during lunch/recess or violates the honor code, he or she will be placed on probation or dismissed from the club. Each student is expected to adhere to the behavior expectations as outlined in the Code of Conduct and Haynes Bridge Middle School’s behavior expectations.
- Each Junior Beta member is expected to be active in school/community service. Our club standards require a minimum of 25 hours documented service at the end of spring semester. 10 of the 25 hours must be earned at school, and members earn .5 hours for each meeting they attend. Many service opportunities are presented each month at our meetings and on our website. Home chores and babysitting, other than church or other charitable functions, are NOT considered community service. All service hours must be reported and include an appropriate adult signature. Although it’s not required, it is encouraged that each member earns 4 hours a month to maintain the yearly hours required.
- Attendance at a minimum of 7 monthly meetings is mandatory to remain in good standing, regardless of whether you have completed your service hours or not. Members will earn .5 school service hours per meeting.
- Each Jr. Beta member is responsible to maintain accurate record of their service hours in their individual files.
